How it works
Three simple steps — the same flow for every tool on this page.

Pick a tool from the grid above and select the PDF or image files from your phone or computer.
Adjust the options
Set page ranges, rotation, watermark text or output format — only the options that tool actually needs.

Why use these PDF tools?
Built for everyday work — forms, office documents, study notes, scanned pages and photos.
🔒 Private by design
Every tool runs inside your own browser. Your files are not uploaded to any server, so confidential documents — ID proofs, bank papers, office files — stay on your device.
⚡ Fast, with no limits queue
There is no upload or download wait and no server queue. Processing speed depends only on your device, even for large files.
🆓 Free, no account
All tools are free to use without creating an account, and results carry no watermark or branding.
📱 Works everywhere
The same page works on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac — in any modern browser, with nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about using the tools.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device, and closing the tab removes everything.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no limit set by this page. Very large files (hundreds of MB) depend on your device's memory and may be slow on older phones.
Can I merge PDFs in a specific order?
Yes. In Merge PDF, files are combined in the order shown in the file list. Remove and re-add files to change the order before processing.
How much does Compress PDF shrink a file?
It depends on the file. Compress removes unused objects and rebuilds the PDF with compressed streams. Image-heavy scanned PDFs shrink the most modestly; results show the before and after size so you can see the saving.
Can I host this website myself on Netlify or GitHub Pages?
Yes. This is a single static HTML page with no server or database, so it can be hosted free on Netlify, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages or any static hosting — just publish the page file and it works as-is.
How to use the most popular PDF tools
Short guides for the tasks people search for most — each one takes under a minute.
How to merge PDF files online
Open Merge PDF, select two or more PDF files, check the order in the file list, then press Process and download one combined PDF. Useful for joining application forms, certificates, bills and scanned notes into a single document.
How to compress a PDF and reduce its size
Open Compress PDF, select your file and process it. The tool removes unused objects and rebuilds the PDF with compressed streams, then shows the before and after size. Best for large files that must fit an upload limit for a form, email or portal.
How to convert JPG to PDF
Open JPG to PDF, select your photos, choose page size (A4 or Letter) and orientation, then download a single PDF. Handy for converting photos of documents, ID proofs and handwritten notes into one shareable file.
How to convert PDF to JPG or PNG
Open PDF to JPG or PDF to PNG, select a PDF, and download its pages as images. Useful when a form or portal asks for an image instead of a PDF, or when you need one page as a photo.
How to split a PDF into pages
Open Split PDF, select a file and choose the page range or split every page separately. Ideal for sending only the needed pages of a long document instead of the whole file.
How to convert Word to PDF
Open Word to PDF, select a .docx file, and download the converted PDF. The layout, fonts and images are kept as close as possible to the original document.
About Us
PDF Tools is a free, browser-based toolkit for everyday PDF work. It was built for students, job applicants, office workers and small businesses who need to merge, split, compress or convert PDF files quickly, without installing software or creating an account. All 19 tools run as a single static web page: there is no server, no database and no user account system. The tools use well-known open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, JSZip and Mammoth) inside your own browser.
This site is an independent utility site. It is not connected to, endorsed by, or affiliated with Adobe, Microsoft, or any PDF software company, and it does not claim to be an official government or company portal.
